Cancellation

Subscription customers are not subject to cancellations fees, though we do ask for at leasts 24 hours notice. Subscription customers can cancel as often and for as long as they want as long as you pay the monthly subscription.

For paid-per-walk customers:

  • More than 48 hours notice given - no cancellation fee.

  • Less than 48 hours: 25% fee.

  • Less than 24 hours: 50% fee.

  • If you forget to cancel and the walker shows up at your house, you will be charged full price. This is to cover employee time, mileage, and gas.

  • We make accomodations for people take holidays and vacations, but since our group size is limited and therefore our income is as well, customers that regularly cancel risk losing that spot on our roster.

Extreme Weather/Icy surfaces

We generally walk rain or shine, hot or cold. For extreme weather days, we do have access to a private indoor climate controlled facility, so if its raining your dog won’t return home soaking wet!

We do reserve the right to cancel any walk if weather conditions make driving unsafe, like during snow, extreme wind that may cause branches to fall into the road, or flooding.

We require all customers to lay down ice melt and shovel stairs and walkways prior to our arrival. If it seems like its possible to slip & fall on the path to your home, your walker will contact you to let you know they cannot access your house safely. If you are home, you can bring your dog out to the walker’s car. If you are not home, your walker will move on without getting your dog and you will still be charged for the day. We highly suggest if you see snow in the forcast that you lay down ice melt in advance to avoid this!

GPS devices on collars

We do not allow any GPS tracking devices to be placed on any dogs. We understand you want to know where your dog is, and we’re happy to tell you where we took them whenever you’d like! But since these devices are capable of collecting data, and we have no control over what data is collected or how it is used, we cannot allow them. We do have RFID tags that we place on all the dogs when in an off-leash situation should they somehow run off, so don’t worry! We can still locate them if needed.

Leash pulling, reactivity, anxiety

Due to the adventurous nature of our service, we cannot accept any dogs that exhibit reactivity in any external way (barking, lunging, etc.). We encounter strangers, off and on leash dogs often in close quarters, loud vehicles, wild animals and more and if one dog over-reacts even well behaved dogs in the group are likely to also react. This can lead to unsafe situations, and potentially teaching other dogs to be anxious when they weren’t before. Safety is our #1 priority, so please make sure you are upfront about any reactivity at your consultation.

If your dog is not prone to outbursts but is mildly nervous in certain situations, we may be able to still bring them on as a client. Sometimes its simply inexperience or lack of confidence, and our service can often help improve these situations, however we are not behaviorists so please consult your vet before applying.
